The European Investigative Journalism and Dataharvest Conference organised by Journalismfund.eu, is the most relevant networking event for investigative and data journalists in Europe. Dataharvest EIJC17 will take place on Friday 19, Saturday 20 and Sunday morning 21 May 2017, with a pre-conference Hack Day on Thursday 18 May.

In this session the coders and data journalists will present their work from the Dataharvest Hackday. The datasets to be presented are: FRI 15.15
Water & Conflict - Lisa Dupuy, Ludo Hekman
In a post-conflict zone, the water management is an important indicator for the chances of security and stability. However, a lot of the data is missing, not available or not shared. We will present some of the insight we gathered from looking into the data that is available.

Open trials - Ben Meghreblian, Victor Nițu
OpenTrials is a collaboration between Open Knowledge International and Dr Ben Goldacre from the University of Oxford DataLab. It aims to locate, match, and share all publicly accessible data and documents, on all trials conducted, on all medicines and other treatments, globally.

Media ownership data on the company structures and shareholders are in many cases difficult to find, not publicly available or reaching a dead end in tax havens. We will present some of the findings from digging into the European TV channels data, as well as Bulgarian newspapers ownership.
