The past year, election and referendum outcomes have surprised many because they were not in line with polling results. There were many reasons for this: bad polling methodologies, but also misinterpretation of polling results by both reporters and the public. In this session, Maarten Lambrechts explains and demonstrates the pitfalls in interpreting polling results for reporting and for making predictions.
