The European Investigative Journalism and Dataharvest Conference organised by Journalismfund.eu, is the most relevant networking event for investigative and data journalists in Europe. Dataharvest EIJC17 will take place on Friday 19, Saturday 20 and Sunday morning 21 May 2017, with a pre-conference Hack Day on Thursday 18 May.

It has been repeated for decades: The EU is covered mainly with strong national bias. This does not help the citizens. Two years ago a small group of journalists were so annoyed, they decided to do something about it. Within two years they set up Investigate Europe, a nine-journalists from eight countries team. The task: Cover complex European topics. Like any other start-up they sacrfiice oceans of time and some also have lowered their previous salary expectations. Recently they published their second large research, a third is on the way www.investigate-europe.eu
