As journalists, we're obsessed with getting it right. But after two decades in data journalism, I've come to think of it differently. I want to be right -- but first I want not to be wrong. In this talk, I'll discuss how to grapple with uncertainties that arise during data analysis, how to describe findings more precisely, and how to turn hostile sources into a reporting asset.
